What's it all about?

Forty K Farm (forty km west of Melbourne) is home to Melton CSA, a recent foray into the world of Community Supported Agriculture, where our members have a direct connection to where their food comes from; less food miles, fewer degrees of seperation. Members involvement ranges from enjoying weekly egg, fruit and or veg deliveries, to attending open days and working bees to keep the farm rocking along.

We manage the farm organically, though aren't certified, as our produce travels only to our members, who (hopefully!) are aware of our management style and commitment to regenerative agriculture; our aims and limitations. In a way we're 'locally certified'.

Its high time to focus our efforts (read 'our vision is') on getting carbon back into the soil, of reducing the market share of animal factories and 'food' labs, of reversing erosion, reinstating trees, bumping up biodiversity, and celebrate the putting of healthy, nutrient dense food on the plates of more people - do this while enjoying yourself and making an honest living, and we're on the right track.

Hopefully catch you at the farm sometime!
