What's it all about?

The Newport Fruit and Vegie Swap is a gathering of backyard harvesters who have extra produce that they'd like to share and swap with others.

Bring your produce and put it on a common table. Then take a share of what you need from produce that other swappers have brought along. Enjoy chatting to others - we're all interested in gardening or home cooking.

Some things you might want to bring along -
&bull, Fresh fruit , vegetables & herbs
&bull, Seeds, seedlings, cuttings & flowers
&bull, Jams, chutneys, sauces & eggs (all dated please)
&bull, Coffee grounds & seaweed for compost bins & outside leaves of lettuces, cabbage etc for animal feed.
Bring recipes, gardening tips and your good cheer.

The Newport Fruit and Vegie Swap meet has been initiated by Transition Hobsons Bay. We're a local group of local people re-imaging the good life.
